Meeting and Learning.

We are discussing and learning about the Accelerate 77 Share Fair, held Saturday, September 15, 2012.  The Accelerate 77 Share Fair brought together many grassroot organizations to share and encourage efforts of neighborhoods as Green Initiatives come forth.

We here at THOC worked hard during the Summer 2012 and learned much.  Now to put this info in place - during the Winter months.....keeping the vegetation  growing in the Hoop House.....

From June 2011 through June 2012, the house of chloe, Inc. shared with 3,061 families and 10,776 family individuals 43,104 nutritional meals. that means a great deal to thoc as we stand and fight against hunger. thank you again to each who have stood and fight for nutritional and delicious food for all.\

i was talking to a lady today....she said " it is not just in chicago that these murders of youth are taking place....i thought about that.

thoc takes a stand against hunger and safety nets to provide services that hunger does not exist. Thoc also takes a stand against youth violence and murders. we are with all who are also fighting against violence.

A Great HolidayCelebration was provided by Supportive friends to The House of Chloe, Inc,Families and Friends. Families received Gift Cards, children received beautiful warm coats and adelightful Dinner was enjoyed by All. Thank Youfor the generous funding given to The House of Chloe, Inc Please enjoy the pictures.

The childrencreated their own Talent Show by Recitingor Singing and presenting a Play they had learned in school.

THOC'S PUMPKIN PATCH 2011

The children selected a pumpkin and left with instructions on how to roast pumpkin seeds and how to grow pumpkins next season.

EASELS UP AT THOCNOVEMBER 2011

Summer 2011 We had a wonderful breakfast and lunch program .

During July 2011 ,THOC provided over 700 lunches and 700 breakfasts to Youth 18 years and Younger. During the Month of August 2011, we provided 800 breakfasts and 1000 lunches to youth 18 years and younger.THOC's nutritional Breakfast and Lunch Program was catered by PLUM Catering - Great Nutritional Menus. We started our mornings outside either in the screen tent, with tables and chairs or in front of THOC with banquet style tables and lawn chairs for the children.One of Our Program's goals was to make certain all children would eat nutritionallyduring their Summer break, therefore, THOC transported Breakfasts andLunches to other Youth Organizations.THOC was honoredwith the presence of outstanding teen organizations that started the process for the beginning of an organic garden.Another Youth Organinzation came in and placed spiral paths in the garden and covered the paths with mulch.The Youth worked and provided one of the best nutritional produce yielding and decorative gardens in the Chicago area.The Youth Directors for these Organizations are magnificent as they carry out a myriad of activities for their programs bridging areas so that there are no gaps duing this transitionaltime from youth to adults.

More Good news includes during the month of July 2011, THOC served 248 households and 908 individuals at THOC Food Pantry. During the month of August 2011, THOC served 208 households and 752 individuals at THOC's very nutritional Client Choice Food Pantry.
